Laura Pereyra

Laura a is tango organizer, school teacher, photographer, protocol adviser and cultural manager (among other things) from Argentina. Her father was a devoted tanguero and tried to inculcate his passion to her, without succeeding in her early years.

When she moved to Kuwait with her family back in 2009, this passion for dancing tango emerged, and in a trip to Argentina she began taking as many classes as she could. Over there, in the heart of Buenos Aires,  the idea of taking maestros  to Kuwait to teach how to dance tango  was born; that´s how, without thinking twice, she approached her current maestros Oscar Gauna and Cecilia Diaz, and asked them if they would go there for a month to teach.

They sayed, yes and after sorting some obstacles, she asked for support to the Embassy of Argentina and its Ambassador back then, HE Jorge Biga who opened  her the doors, and with her  to a new project: Tango Argentino in Kuwait,  as part of the culture program of the Embassy.

Since then, with ups and downs, with changes of image, of name, and always trying to improve, Laura has managed to have a continuous program of classes and events.
